We make a trip up from Oregon, every year, for Apple Strudel and bear claws dipped in chocolate. Best Strudel anywhere - including Europe. Old country lawyers talk about being paid in chickens, I've been paid in boxes of strudel from Sidney Bakery and it was well worth it. :)

Walking by the window and seeing all the fresh donuts in the morning was a good enough reason to go in. After ordering a box of 6 donuts, I expected to be paying about $15-20 from my experience at an unamed donut place downtown Victoria. When the lady told me it was $7, I thought she made a mistake. These are the best donuts I've had, and the family agreed. I've been back twice in the last month. Very pleasant staff and incredible selection of other baked goods.
